This tall waterside perennial has long narrow leaves which can be mistaken for Iris pseudacorus until you smell the sweet smelling rhizome. It was introduced in the 16th century and was commonly used as a sweet smelling floor covering. It has a yellow spike in May-July. Thrives in sunny positions but also happy in shade

Height: 80-160cm

Planting position: Pond marginal shelf up to 20cm deep; or very wet soil

Form:  7cm and 9cm pots, and 1 litre in an aquatic basket (ready to drop straight into your pond) -please select size from "Choose size" box below.
