Arrowhead native

Arrowhead native

This native plant has unusual arrow like leaves producing small white flowers with a dark purple centre from Jul-Sep.  Also has very long narrow submerged leaves.  Plant in sun or semi shade. Beware ducks like to eat the bulbs!  The plant throws out bulb like tubers during the growing season initially attached to the parent plant which will eventually detach -once detached the bulb should be pushed back into the pot as it will grow next year's plant.

Sagittaria refers to the arrow shaped leaves
