Common cowslip or primrose (Primula veris) is a British native semi-evergreen perennial with a rosette of wrinkled mid-green leaves from which one or more flower stems are produced. Each flower stem bears an umbel with anywhere between 10 and 30 deep yellow fragrant nodding flowers in April and May. Please note these will be cut back in April/May after flowering.
The cowslip has an RHS AGM.
