A collection of native plants for a pond of approximately 25 sq. mtrs (275 sq ft) with marginal shelves up 15m (50ft) long 50cm wide and a depth of 15-25cm.  The deep water area of the pond should be at least 60cm (24in) deep, or preferably 90-100cm (3-4ft) if planting directly into the pond bed to help control the spread of the more vigorous plants.  Unlike the smaller collection we don’t offer options for baskets, soil and gravel as 1 and 2 litre baskets as standard are likely to be a little small for this size of pond.  We would be happy to provide a bespoke quote for these tailored to the plants selected for the collection.

The collection will consist of the following plants:

5 Deep water plants including 3 native lilies
25 Oxygenators
60 Assorted marginals

And will include good selection of plants for example:

Native alba lily, Fringe lily, Water plantain, Flowering rush, Common cotton grass, Narrow reed mace, Cyperus sedge, Pendulous sedge, Fibre optic, Sweet galingale, Branched bur reed, Marsh marigold, Square stemmed St John’s wort, Yellow loosestrife, Marsh woundwort, Purple loosestrife, Soft rush, Hard rush, Greater pond sedge, Water mint, Bog bean, Water forget-me-not, Watercress, Water crowfoot, Lesser spearwort, Fool’s watercress, Hornwort, Willow moss, Water starwort, Yellow flag iris, Brooklime and Water figwort.

Plants will be supplied in 9cm pots and bare root apart from the deep water plants with the lilies supplied in 3 litre baskets and the other deep water plants in 1 litre baskets.  9cm plants will need to be potted up into larger aquatic baskets unless being planted directly into the bed of a natural lake.

We don’t offer options of baskets, soil and gravel for this collection as the size of the baskets for this size of pond can vary so much depending on budget and preferences for planting.  We are happy to advise and quote separately for this if  baskets soil and gravel are required which would be at a significant discount to our normal prices.
