The Fibre optic plant (Scirpus cernuus) is suitable for marginal planting up to 10cm (4 inches); it grows to around 20cm (8 inches) in height. The florescent like blobs on the ends of each stem give rise to its common name . This easy to care for plant looks good for most of the year without becoming invasive or untidy.
