Hosta fortunei var. aureomarginata, also known as the gold-edged plantain lily, has ovate to heart-shaped leathery and distinctly veined deep olive green leaves edged irregularly in yellow. Bears mauve bell or funnel-shaped flowers freely on stems up to 90cm tall in Summer. Happy in sun where the edges will fade to a creamy yellow or partial shade. It has an RHS AGM.
