Also known as the blue flag irises the versicolor has beautiful blueish-purple flowers up to 7-8cm across from May to June and is free flowering. Compare to the slightly smaller ‘Kermesina’ variant which has pinky- purple flowers. Suitable for planting in or near water in a sunny position.
