A collection of ornamental pond plants for a pond of approximately 12.5 sq. mtrs (138 sq ft) with marginal shelves up 9m (30 ft) long, 30cm wide and a depth of 15-25cm.  The deep water area of the pond should preferably be at least 60cm (24in) deep.  For this collection the baskets options (if selected) comprise a mix of mainly 2 litres with some 1 litre baskets.  The plants will need to be potted up or split as they outgrow their baskets but most should be good for the initial season.  If the pond is in a windy site it may be preferable to go for larger baskets for some of the plants, especially the taller more vigorous ones, so they are more stable and less prone to blowing over -we would be happy to quote for this.

The collection will consist of the following plants:

3 Deep Water plants including 2 water lilies
14 Oxygenators
40 Assorted marginals

And will include a selection of ornamental pond plants for example:

Water hawthorn, Water lily, Iris laevigata, Iris versicolor, vareigated Sweet flag, variegated Reed sweet grass, White marsh marigold, Double marsh marigold, Bog arum, Barred horsetail, Sweet galingale, Zebra rush, Chameleon plant, Lobelia cardinalis, Lobelia ‘Queen Victoria’, Lobelia siphilitica, Lobelia siphilitica alba, Mimulus ringens, White skunk cabbage, Small reed mace, Zantedeschia (Green goddess, Kiwi blush, Crowborough), Apache beads, Blue pickerel, White pickerel, White forget-me-not, Fibre optic plant, Cotton grass, Hornwort, Willow moss, Starwort, Water crowfoot.

Plants will be supplied in 9cm pots apart from the lilies which will be in 3 litre baskets and Water hawthorn which will be in a 1 litre basket.  The 9cm plants will need to potted up into larger aquatic baskets.

This collection is available without planting baskets with baskets only or as a complete package including soil and aquatic gravel -please select  from “Collection options” box below.

Planting in baskets you would need to purchase approx 60 litres of soil and 9 litres of gravel.  If the baskets option is selected we will supply a mixture of some 1 litre and mainly 2 litre baskets appropriate for the plants selected, with the 2 litre baskets for the taller/larger growing plants.
