Mimulus ringens (Allegheny monkey flower, sometimes referred to as Lavender musk) has longer and narrower leaves than other mimulus varieties, with small violet-blue flowers up to 3cm long on tall stems from July to September. A native of central and eastern North America. It grows well in pond margins or very wet ground.
Please note these may be cut back in May to remove the dominant central stem and encourage thicker bushier growth.
