Pendulous sedge (Carex pendula) is a vigorous native grass with pendulous catkins for sun or shade. Attracts wildlife to feed and nest. Duck resistant plant when established. Evergreen.
Cut back after flowering as it is a prolific seeder. Pendulous sedge is a very elegant grass ideal for larger ponds. Less suitable for small ponds unless carefully managed.
Planting position: Pond marginal shelf up to 10cm deep; or very wet soil
