Primula bulleyana also known as the Bulley’s primula is one of a group of primulas known as the Candelabra primulas or Bog garden primulas that originate from China. They produce lovely whorls of orange flowers on tall stems from May to July and work really well with foliage plants such as Hostas and Ferns. Best in partial or full shade though the wetter the soil the more sun they will tolerate. Very long lived as long as they aren’t allowed to dry out. Can self-hybridize if planted near other primulas in this group.
