A collection of native plants for a pond of approximately 50 sq. mtrs (550 sq ft) with marginal shelves up 22m (74ft) long 50cm wide and a depth of 15-25cm.  The deep water area of the pond should be at least 60cm (24in) deep or preferably 120cm (4ft) if planting directly into the lake bed to control the spread of the more vigorous plants.

The collection will consist of the following plants:

8 Deep water plants including 4 native lilies
45 Oxygenators
110 Assorted marginals

And will include good selection of plants for example:

Native alba lily, Fringe lily, Water plantain, Flowering rush, Common cotton grass, Reedmace, Narrow reedmace, Cyperus sedge, Pendulous sedge, Slender tufted sedge, Reed sweet grass, Common spike rush, Sweet galingale, Branched bur reed, Marsh marigold, True bulrush, Square stemmed St John’s wort, Yellow loosestrife, Marsh woundwort, Purple loosestrife, Soft rush, Hard rush, Greater pond sedge, Water mint, Bog bean, Forget-me-not, Watercress, Water mint, Water crowfoot, Lesser spearwort, Greater spearwort, Cotton grass, Fool’s watercress, Mare’s tail, Hornwort, Willow moss, Starwort, Yellow flag, Brooklime and Water figwort, Water plantain.

Plants will be supplied in 9cm pots and bare root apart from the deep water plants with the lilies supplies in 3 litre aquatic baskets and Amphibious bistort or Fringe lilies in 1 litre baskets.  The 9cm plants will need to be potted up into larger aquatic baskets unless planting into the bed of a natural pond.

We don’t offer options of baskets, soil and gravel for this collection as the size of the baskets for this size of pond can vary so much depending on budget and preferences for planting.  We are happy to advise and quote separately for this if  baskets soil and gravel are required which would be at a significant discount to our normal prices.
