Spearmint (Mentha cervina), also known as hart’s pennyroyal, has attractive lilac (some say blue….) flowers from June to September. It is an excellent wildlife plant and is attractive to pollinators, in particular bees and butterflies, and has strongly aromatic leaves.  It is also a good water conditioner and tidier and less vigorous than Water mint.  Also available in its white form here.
