Water lily (Nymphaea) ‘Perry’s Fire Opal’ is a stunning free-flowering lily with intense rich candy pink double flowers held several inches above the water. The blooms have a lovely fragrance, a mixture of rose, almond and sweet aniseed and can be almost as large as its leaves. Thought by Perry himself to be one of the finest odorata lilies, it was the recipient of the International Waterlily and Water Gardening Society’s America Award in 1990, the first odorata lily be given such an award.
Planting position: Still water submerged 25cm to 60cm full sun.
