White skunk cabbage (Lysichiton camtschatcensis) is a spectacular plant with pure white arum-like flowers (technically spathes) from March to April. Happy in the bog garden in full sun as long as reliably damp, or in the shallow margins of the pond, this is smaller than and not be confused with the banned Yellow skunk cabbage and is a slow grower that takes a while to get to maturity. The common name refers to the fact that the fragrance is not particularly pleasant! It has an RHS AGM.
Planting position: Marginal plant up to 10cm or bog garden in full sun to part shade
Form: 1 litre in an aquatic basket -please select size below.
Recommended basket size min./ideal: 2 litre round/3 litre hexagonal
