White skunk cabbage (Lysichiton camtschatcensis) is a spectacular plant with pure white arum-like flowers (technically spathes) from March to April. Happy in the bog garden in full sun as long as reliably damp, or in the shallow margins of the pond, this is smaller than and not be confused with the banned Yellow skunk cabbage and is a slow grower that takes a while to get to maturity. The common name refers to the fact that the fragrance is not particularly pleasant! It has an RHS AGM.
