RHS Perfect for Pollinators.

The RHS Perfect for Pollinators mark is only given to plants that support pollinating insects in gardens. Bees (Honey bees, Bumblebees and solitary bees), butterflies, moths, hoverflies and many others visit flowers to feed on nectar and pollen; while doing so they transfer pollen and increase seed set and fruit development. RHS have now changed this designation to "Plants for Pollinators" rather than "Perfect for Pollinators", a very subtle change that few will notice or understand. This was because some of the larger garden centres were taking delivery of plants and drenching them in pesticides yet still sticking on the "Perfect for Pollinators" logo, which obviously they then weren't! We can't really see how the subtle change will alter perceptions or understanding, as the same practices will still be taking place, and this does nothing to highlight it.

At Puddleplants we are committed to growing plants without the use of pesticides to protect all our precious pollinators.  This applies to all our plants, not just the flowering species.
