An excellent native oxygenator, which lies dormant at the bottom of the pond to protect itself from cold and ice, and returns in spring. An easy plant to control as it doesn't root, simply remove the excess plant and compost. Also known as rigid Hornwort. No planting bags required.  Please note that during winter months to early spring when in stock Hornwort supplied may be brown and can be slightly brittle.  It is perfectly healthy in this state and will turn green again in early spring once the temperature warms up.

Ceratophyllum, the division of leaves suggesting horns; dermersum, down under the water

Planting position: Submerged in depths up to 80cm, simply drop bunch or stems into your pond.
