Marsh cinquefoil (Potentilla palustris) is an attractive low-growing native marginal plant with unusual strawberry-like leaves and dark wine-red flowers. Its creeping habit makes it excellent for the edge of ponds streams and ditches. Flowers June-July. This is a bit of a later starter so healthy plants in March/April will not be showing much in the way of new growth on the old stems.
Height: 20-40cm
Planting position: Marginal plant up to 5cm full sun or partial shade.
Form: 9cm (0.5 litre) in a solid pot -please select size below
Recommended basket size min./ideal: 2 litre round/3 litre hexagonal
(Recommended basket sizes are for potting up 9cm (0.5 litre) plants only as these are supplied in solid pots. Larger sized plants are already in aquatic baskets so can go straight in the pond, however they may need potting up or splitting at some point)
